History
| This company is
established in Year 1961, founded by Goh Hong Choon. During
the early day, the business activities were mainly in second
hand car dealing and money lending for hire purchase of vehicles.
On year 1983, after being a reefer technician in the Port
of Singapore Authority (PSA) for six years, Willie Goh, who
is the second son of Hong Choon, has decided to resign from
PSA and rendered the reefer machinery services to Container
Depots by using the same company name. |
| In the initial
phase, he rendered the reefer machinery services to just two
Depots. Buses were the only mode of transport he could afford
during those days. His only technical assistance at that time
was one of his brothers. Throughout twenty years of hardship,
the reefer services rendered by Eastern were slowly recognized
by majority of the Shipping Lines and Container Leasing Companies.
More and more Depots have engaged Eastern for reefer machinery
services and we are glad that today, Eastern has became the
biggest reefer machinery servicing company in Singapore, We
have even extended our services to anchorage, as well as consignee
and shipper premises in Singapore. Of all these customers,
more than 50% of them have been supporting us for more than
ten years. |
| Due to the long
term trust and good working relationship with the Shipping
lines, customers have requested us to extend our services
to ship-kit management for their vessels. Because of our willingness
to listen to customers, as well as a group of committed and
experience spare parts workforce, we have rapidly growth this
business and it has now became one of our core businesses. |
| Shipping lines wants us to duplicate these services to other
countries. On few occasions, they even introduce the potential working
partners for us. We have since expand our businesses to several countries
and are aiming to give a one stop services to customers in this region. |
